Chicago at Home Couples Session | Katie + Kelly

To say I’m obsessed with this Chicago at home couples session is an understatement. Katie and Kelly have trusted me time and time again to document ALL the intimate moments of their love story. I know them and their relationship probably more than most do at this point. Being able to document some of their day-to-day life for their at-home session was SO special. I’m SO excited to share these photos with you.

Katie and Kelly were the first couple to hire me when I announced that I was starting my own business. Since then I have had the privilege of documenting some of the time they have spent living in the city, Katie’s proposal to Kelly and now their engagement session this fall! This session was my first at-home session. I had been wanting to do an in-home session for a while after starting my business. There is something so raw and true about documenting a couple in their own space. I knew it was something I wanted to be photographing. I reached out to Kelly to see if Katie and she might be down to let me document their life at home with their pups!

At Home Session in Chicago

Approaching the holidays, one of their FAVORITE times of the year, Katie, Kelly, Wrigley, and Chance all welcomed me into their cute Chicago apartment for some photos. As we were planning the session, Katie and Kelly had SO many ideas, which I loved for their session. They knew they wanted to wear their Christmas pajamas and maybe make some breakfast. They for the most part though love spending their time laying low with their pups. This was something I knew I wanted to make sure I documented for the two of them.

We ran around their apartment, played with the pups, and even decorated some cookies. There is something so cool about getting a look into the everyday life of a couple. Then, to be able to freeze these moments for them on camera is honestly why I do what I do. This Chicago couples session was one of my favorites so far in my career.
