I’ve known Erin since high school, so capturing her and Jake’s engagement session in Chicago during the fall was a dream come true! Erin and Jake are basically the personification of sunshine, and I cannot get enough of them.  We had so much fun catching up and walking around the neighborhood that Erin has called home for YEARS now. With Jake recently moving in with her, and with their wedding on the way, this session was the perfect way to celebrate this point in their lives together!

Their Chicago Engagement Session in the Fall

The two are having their wedding in Lake Geneva, so it only made sense that we have their engagement session on the lakefront as well.  Fall was just getting started here in Chicago, so there was only one tree that had really started changing by the time of their engagement session. We made the most of it though and enjoyed the warmer weather we had for the session. It was super busy out! Everyone was so happy, it was the perfect temperature, and there was hardly any lakefront wind which is kind of an anomaly in the windy city!

Looking Forward to Their Wedding Day

Erin and Jake ended their fall engagement session in Chicago by walking along the lakefront and then popping champagne near their apartment in some more casual attire! I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to cap off the celebration of love that is an engagement session. Speaking of a celebration though, I am SO excited for their wedding day! Erin and Jake are some of the most relaxed and fun people, and I love spending time with them. For their wedding day coverage I sent them over to my amazing industry friends DiMaggio Productions who will be handling their photo and video!  I love Veronica and Elijah, and always send clients their way if I’m unavailable to cover their day.

Documenting Erin and Jake’s fall engagement session in Chicago felt like one of those full circle moments in life. It was so special being able to photograph Erin with the love of her life after knowing her since childhood, and I cannot wait to see what their life together brings these two beautiful people!
