Though I love Chicago for engagement sessions, there’s something so lovely and so freaking simple about an engagement session in a forest preserve.  There’s so much space, and love and room for couples to really relax and be themselves together.  Rachel and Stephen are not only fiancées but they are also BEST friends.  They love laughing together and having fun and documenting this dynamic on camera for them was just so much freaking fun.  I LOVE this engagement session in Wheaton and I am so excited it’s up on the blog.

Picnic Engagement Photos at Blackwell Forest Preserve

Rachel and Stephen love spending quality time with one another, and one of their favorite things to do in the summer is go out and about for picnics and going on long walks together, so it only made sense that we plan a picnic for their engagement session.  Rachel gathered the cutest spread of snacks and drinks to have during their engagement session at Blackwell Forest Preserve.  When spending time with Rachel and Stephen you really can tell that they are each other’s best friends.  They’re two of the sweetest humans that just LOVE to have fun with one another and goof around together. 

Engagement Session in Downtown Wheaton

Rachel and Stephen LOVE going out for ice cream and walking around downtown Wheaton, so I knew we had to make sure to document a little bit of their relationship in Wheaton.  We started at Dairy Queen in Downtown Wheaton before walking around the rest of the downtown for their engagement session.  I always encourage my couples to wear outfits that really feel like them, so when Rachel and Stephen showed up in their favorite sweatshirts and sneakers I knew it was going to be a great second half of their session.
